What is Cat-like Typing?
I’m sure at least some of you are wondering “What exactly is Cat-like typing?” Some will recognize the phrase but some won’t and that’s perfectly understandable. Cat-like typing is gibberish. When your pet walks over your keyboard and accidentally hits send on that instant message or email, someone somewhere will soon be looking at cat-like typing.
However, we can apply that to other areas as well outside of email and instant messages. If you’re a programmer then at some point you’ve probably had the joy pleasure experience of maintaining someone else’s code. For the luckiest among us this was a completely painless and brief experience. For the rest of us, we can only shake our heads and wonder. Did the programmer before us invent some amazing “make almost working unreadable gibberish” program? Did an internet worm pass by and defecate in his or her code without the programmer noticing? How exactly did it get this bad?
Of course, unlike the person before us, we write perfect flawless code that works perfectly, never breaks, and looks beautiful. Or, well, maybe you do. I certainly don’t, but I am always finding new ways to improve and sharpen my skills. With cat-like typing, I intend to show you a few interesting techniques of which I know that may help you, to share with you a few strange moments which may amuse you, and to just have fun along the way.
See you soon and have a nice flarghoipblrg day.
