501 LIFE Mag Unveils Web Site
There’s a new magazine in town that celebrates Central Arkansas and all that makes it a great place to live, work and play.
Available to the public in late April 2008, 501 LIFE Magazine is an attractive and quality printed publication that presents a variety of features on interesting individuals and businesses in the 501 area code as well as information on fashion, home, health, fitness, entertaining, cooking, kids, travel and much more. The supporting, Softwyre-designed Web site — 501LIFEmag.com — launched last week.
The owners of 501 LIFE Magazine approached Softwyre several months ago with their need to create an online home for their magazine. They wanted an upscale site that would generate revenue through online ad sales, and that would be ready in time for the magazine’s unveiling party on April 21, 2008. They also wanted an easy and flexible way to add new articles so the editor could manage the site in-house.
Softwyre met these goals by designing clean, simple graphics to reflect the high quality of the printed magazine. Most importantly, we built the site in a content management system (CMS) that empowers 501 LIFE staff to easily update the Web site and manage banner ads without any technical knowledge or skills. The back-end administration allows the client to dynamically create new articles and events, post banner ads and generate page view and click through reports for advertisers.
501LIFEmag.com is “the place” for a list of local happenings and is an invaluable resource on dining, entertainment, the arts and shopping in the 501 area. Visitors to 501LIFEmag.com can subscribe to the magazine, order back issues, view the contents of the latest issue, and even submit story ideas and letters to the editor through an online form. Additionally, Central Arkansas businesses have plenty of space to share their messages with devoted magazine readers on banner ads that neatly frame the content.
Raise your mouse to this exciting new magazine and check out 501LIFEmag.com. As the editor writes so genuinely in the premiere issue, “Here’s to loving life in the 501.”
