FaulknerCounty.org Goes Live
Faulkner County residents in search of breaking news about the Shawbridge Road construction or the annual Chili Cook Off now have a new source of information, as Softwyre officially launched the Faulkner County Court System’s Web site this week.
Visitors to FaulknerCounty.org are greeted by County Judge Preston Scroggin’s friendly face and a slideshow of breathtaking county landmarks. The site also contains a convenient list of courthouse closings, a calendar of events, county news, a county judge blog, county ordinances and information about county offices and services.
The court system’s first-ever Web site reflects its commitment to open communications with residents. And it’s an important step toward the county’s goal to provide constituents with the most up-to-date information about county services and events. County residents can post comments on Judge Preston Scroggin’s blog, publish thoughts about news articles, e-mail Judges and court employees, and sign up to receive the Faulkner County e-mail newsletter.
Softwyre constructed FaulknerCounty.org within its proprietary content management tool, Newswyre. This application gives Faulkner County Court System staff the tools to manage Web site content themselves without the need to engage Softwyre for every little update. This frees up more Faulkner County tax funds for use where they are really needed – to improve roads, for example – rather than for Web site updates. Faulkner County citizens have to love that.
