What is an RSS feed?

RSS stands for R eally S imple S yndication. RSS is somewhat like an e-mail newsletter in that you get an alert when someone posts new weblog or news content. However, you do not use an e-mail program to read an RSS feed. RSS feeds are handled by different software called a 'RSS Reader.'

Where Do I get a RSS Reader?

There are two types of readers, browser based (you read through a browser like Firefox or IE) or desktop programs. Some are free, some you have to pay for.
